Charlton Heston plays a retired lawman named Sam Burgade who goes after an escaped bunch of convicts led by a half breed outlaw Zach Provo (James Coburn). The hunt becomes even more personal when Heston's daughter (Barbara Hershey) is kidnapped by Provo who wants to torture Charlton Heston for killing his wife eleven years previous when he was a sheriff.
Overall it's an entertaining western flick with some gory and violent scenes including sexual degradation.
