This movie just doesn't deliver on "the goods." It is slow throughout the entire movie except for brief flickers of action which last for a couple of minutes and do not add to building up the suspense.
The Blair Witch Project started out slow and slowly built up the suspense, keeping you enthralled through the end. The Last Exorcism is just up to snuff by comparison.
