Review of The Last Emperor (1987) by Tab B — 29 Feb 2008
An excellent film, long... very long actually, but well worth a look. Also one of the very few places you can get a glimpse of Manchukuo and all that transpired in the puppet state. The Empress Dowager is one of my favorite characters, I'm grateful you get to see her, however briefly. A++.
Peter O'Toole is one of my favoirte actors, and he doesn't disappoint in his role as imperial tutor, either.
