THE LAST EMPEROR [1987]: A truly stunning Oscar winning masterpiece that tells the tragic and hash life of China's last emperor Pu Yi. With shots of the actual Forbidden City, great costumes and gorgeous cinema -photography THE LAST EMPEROR is a definite must own for every film buff on DVD/ Blu-Ray in their collections.
My rating is a solid 80% for a grand sweeping epic that recreates a pivotal point in modern Chinese history.
