Review of The Last Dragon (1985) by Patrick D — 25 Apr 2009
One of, if seriously not, the best movies ever made, The Last Dragon is perfect. It's dated and the production is beyond cheesy, but the good message and uplifting plot make the movie so likeable. Basic good vs.
evil, evil gets upperhand on good, good overcomes evil storyline, but the characters are all perfect, namely Sho Nuff of Harlem, who I'm afraid Sam Jackson can only emulate, not become. That being said, no remake and reimagining can make a perfect movie better.
Great music, timeless fight scenes, over-the-top humor, and Vanity all make it a movie I can watch over and over.
