Sailors swearing, sleeping, shooting, and smoking in this under rated comedy gem. Jack nicholson is at his best here, and Randy Quaid also gives a great performance as someone in their late teens with the worst self image possible, sentenced to 8 years in jail for petty theft.
It has the perfect balance of emotion and funny without being cheesy or insincere.
