Review of The Last Detail (1973) by Zack H — 22 Feb 2009
This road flick about two Navy guys transporting a fellow sailor to prison is a fall down hillarious, gritty adventure into 1973 hipster street culture and wanton drunkeness. Jack Nicholson plays that wild-man asshole you meet out of nowhere and party hardy with until he nearly gets everyone arrested or killed.
Check out the famous scene when he flips out at the bar with his service pistol. Insane. This movie came out the year I was born and I always felt a bond to it.
