Review of The Last Detail (1973) by Hunter D — 02 Mar 2011
Certainly one of Jack Nicholson's greatest performances, this along with Five Easy Pieces and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest illustrates why he is the quintessential American male of this era, his rebellious individualism comes through even in the most conformist of settings.
The Last Detail is hilarious and arresting, but devoid of dramatic cliche, it's everything you want from this creative period of American cinema.
