Review of The Lake House (2006) by Nathan Y — 22 Jul 2011

If you're not able to suspend disbelief, this movie is not for you. It's a nice overall story with an interesting time element, but so, so many of the lines are just painfully cliche. Not just the kind that makes you groan, the kind that makes you wince in pain at how terrible and unrealistic that someone would ever say something like that in real life.

I could never fully buy into the emotional story because of this - the characters just aren't real people (especially Keanu Reeves).
