Review of The Lady Vanishes (1938) by Anis T — 20 Oct 2008
There is a conspiracy happening in the train; an old lady has suddenly disappeared out of nowhere, and only a young woman knows about her disappearance or so it seems. All passengers in the train have simple, if not all menacing, motives to deny the fact of the lady vanishing.
Like most Hitchcock films, the film's plot is compelling and the scenes are just intense. It is quite obvious that the mainstream film Flightplan is a rip-off of this film even though one is set in an airplane while the other one is set in a train.
And it's also obvious which film is better.
