Review of The Lady Vanishes (1938) by Greg T — 25 Feb 2009
One of Hitchcock's most lighthearted films but one which still dabbles in some of the auteur's favourite themes. There's some glorious stiff-upper-lip comedy here as well as a fine fight in the train's baggage compartment and a throwaway conclusion that would never stand nowadays.
All in all, it's a joy.
