Quite funny, very English, and fairly intelligent, Hitchcock's 1938 mystery is fun to watch, yet a bit annoying at times. Maybe it's just the period, but so many plot points and acting moments were so unbelievable and somehow off that one can't help but take this film somewhat less than seriously.
