Review of The Lady in the Van (2015) by Stellavera K — 29 Feb 2016

I rarely write a review for a film I don't like. But I feel obligated to here. Yes, it was great film making, yes it had British sense of humour, yes yes.

But the trailer was mis-leading, making it seem more comedic than it was.

It wasn't.

I personally found it very very strange and wished I had walked out and saved my money. There was nothing uplifting or entertaining about it for my style. It was uncomfortable to watch and wishing it wasn't there in my memory banks.

Now that doesn't mean it wasn't a good movie. It means I didn't like it, didn't suit my taste for why I go out for an evening of entertainment.

If you like British humour, and great acting by Maggie Smith, great.

But the topic and details were just too slow and strange for me to like it.
