Review of The Lady in the Van (2015) by Karen W — 02 Apr 2016
A brilliant performance by Maggie Smith leaves one feeling off balance and stunned, while genuinely and fully entertained by the story. Solid solid film way off course from the general fair. Not really a feel good film but a genuine heartfelt experience, worth making room, to take in the ups and downs, the laughs and tears evoked within the unexpected relationship.
