Review of The Lady in the Van (2015) by Troy D. D — 19 Jun 2016

I saw this film a few weeks ago through red box because I saw one preview of it at the movies some time last year. I guessed it missed our theaters in the Valley, because I don't remember seeing it listed.

Well, this is an entertaining movie in certain aspects. The performances of the actors are probably more what the critics focused on rather than the main story and how it was told. The subject matter was unusual.

I had problems with how this story was told by the main character in the movie, but he was also acting as the "outside" narrator. This was a British film, too, which employs its own unique style of story telling.

It's an okay movie if one's looking for something "different" from your run-of-the-mill Hollywood offering.
