Review of The Lady from Shanghai (1947) by Kevin H — 24 Mar 2008
Good early noir, and it is enjoyable to see Welles's more sophisticated sequences shine through. It also has some really bizarre scenes (e.g. the courtroom scene) and crazy acting, but the plot is a touch predictable and there are a few dozen too many close-ups.
