You're apt to find yourself watching the filmmaking rather than the film here. But after watching the iconic house of mirrors scene, or the chiaroscuro Acapulco section, or the strangely unsettling aquarium rendezvous, the tradeoff of seeing some genuine art with a less-than-watertight plot in no way diminishes the impact of the film.
