If you can get over Welles rather wobbly Irish Accent, then there is plenty here to enjoy,.

Welles uses all his trickery on a story of love, revenge and murder.

The close ups on sweaty faces and Rita Hayworths beautiful face give the film that typical Welles edge.

The film is of course justly famous for its final scene in a hall of mirrors, but there is loads of other stuff in this film to keep you interested.

The locations are great and all the actors in the film fit there roles like a glove.

Citizen Kane is of course the film that is regarded as THE Orson Welles film, but my faves are this and Touch of Evil.

A tight and taut film from a master of his craft.
