Review of The Lady Eve (1941) by Frédéric I — 02 Mar 2010
A Preston Struges film dealing with a gold digger out to con some easy target, but ends up falling for him instead. The Lady Eve is very dated, but at the same time that sort of adds to the enjoyment as for some of the dialogue will have you saying what does that mean.
Regardless Stanwyck is perfect as the femme fatalistic gold digger and Fonda is just as good. Great look at the world of Preston Sturges.
