This is very close to perfect. Stanwyck and Fonda are wonderful in their roles, as is Charles Coburn. The dialogue is cracking throughout, and despite the madcap storyline, you really care about the characters.
Classic script and direction from Preston Sturges. (After watching this, I put on a current sitcom and was instantly depressed...).
