Review of The Lady Eve (1941) by Brian S — 09 Apr 2011
Barbara Stanwyck is an absolute knockout in this film, and both she and Henry Fonda are at a peak of comic brilliance. along with Sullivan's Travels, Lady Eve proves what a truly gifted storyteller and director Preston Sturges really is.
crisp dialogue, unbearably thick sexual tension, and laughs and romance aplenty in this thoroughly engaging and satisfying film.
