Review of The Lady (2011) by Grace Z — 10 May 2012

I read quite a few poor reviews of this when it first came out, many stating that Luc Besson could not handle this type of story and stick to action movies and so as a consequence I skipped this one at the cinema.

It just shows you shouldn't listen to what the critics say because from my point of view they must have been watching a completely different movie. The film looks beautiful and is acted very well, both an inspirational and moving story.

Michelle Yeoh and David Thewlis are both perfectly cast and do a great job of bringing this true story to screen.
