Review of The Ladies Man (1961) by Kevin B — 14 Jun 2007
Quite possibly the greatest comedy ever made. Jerry Lewis is a G-E-N-I-U-S! Yes, I'm even prepared to say he eclipses Keaton and (ducks) Chaplin. The man exploits the unique properties of cinema here just like he exploited the unique properties of the television medium in his guest spot on the short-lived-for-good-reason Pink Lady series and just like he exploited the unique properties of cartoon dialogue delivery in his jaw-dropping Simpsons cameo.
A masterpiece amongst masterpieces.
