It's been a while since a movie made me cry, but through parts of this I just couldn't hold back the tears. It's not the kind of movie I would choose to see, but a friend asked me to go and i'm so greatful she did.
There is much beauty in this movie, and also much sadness, but it is ultimately redeeming. I read a review saying that audience members who cry take themselves too seriously. To put it bluntly, fuck you! Isn't passion part of what cinema's about?
