Review of The Kite Runner (2007) by Lauren G — 10 Aug 2009
I have a good feeling on this one that the book is much better. I love the father of the main character, although he is very harsh on his son. I don't like the writer (main character) at first. I understand now it has to do with cultural differences, the shame of rape and such.
How awful. He makes up for it in the end (redeems himself, somewhat), yet I cannot help but wish he had made amends with his best friend before he died. Such a shame.
