There is a ton of emotional drama on display here. In fact there is too much, it feels forced and some of it comes off as tv melodrama. But its still a good movie. Forster has some nice touches behind the camera.
The stuff with them as boys was great. I hated the main character for more reasons than the obvious one and I never really changed my opinion on him, that probably has an effect on my rating.
