Review of The Kissing Booth (2018) by Camille M — 10 May 2018
What could have been a mediocre teen movie about first loves and first kisses wildly misses the mark and unfortunately reduces it's primary female character to nothing more than a body for the male characters to oggle and fight over.
The narrative fails to agree upon it's primary themes and focus leaving the film feeling a jumbled mess.The only constant is that Elle is treated as a possession to all. Really uncomfortable story telling.
