Review of The King's Speech (2010) by C. L — 20 Feb 2015
I was pleasantly surprised by this film. Period pieces can often be unpredictable in their ability to portray the reality of the era. This is even more an issue when the story being told is based on fact.
However, this movie did an excellent job on both counts. As a drama, it was very engaging and interesting to learn the tale behind King George VI's speech impediment and how he overcame it in order to lead and encourage his country.
A must see for history buffs.
