Review of The Kingdom of Dreams and Madness (2013) by Ben D — 16 Mar 2015
Many of its segments may be a tad too long for their own good, and it suffers from some balance issues, but overall this is a beautiful and interesting documentary about one of the most creative animation studios that just recently closed its doors.
The process of film making when it comes to animation and how its main protagonist Hayao Miyazaki works to create these beautiful films is stunning and the way the movie presents the situation, with class and simplicity, make for an experience thats as beautiful as the journeys that the Studio Ghiblis films provide.
