Review of The Kingdom (2014) by Jacob G — 30 Jun 2010
The Kingdom is a movie filled with realistic characters that are convincingly played by the actors. It is quite possibly the best action flick of the decade and the best one I have seen since the Indiana Jones Movies.
Very rarely do I like these types of movies or at least what it sounded like, a typical shoot em up with very little plot but this one is completely the opposite it has character development and the message of the film is something that I really had to think about.
One thing this film does well is inform, it's sad but most people think all Muslims are terrorists this shows that no not all of them are but there are some just like there are terrorists all over the world, the friendship between Fluery and the Arabian Cop is a good example of what the film is trying to say.
All of the actors do a good job with their parts, they are all convincing especially Jason Bateman who I thought did the best work. Even the last lines of the film show the theme, those lines show that hatred and hostility exists between both sides.
" The Kingdom" is a fantastic action flick that is much more than your typical action movie.
