If this movie was a person, it would be an obese selfish asshole who rolled his eyes when you told him about your day, and yet whose ability to make fun of life made living with him compelling and almost worth living with.
Bruce Dern was so much better than Nicholson, though it was nice to see Jack Nicholson back in the day when he wasn't required to play Jack Nicholson.
