Review of The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters (2007) by Joey B — 29 Jul 2011
If your a fan of videogames or not I think this documentary will please your movie watching eyes - It is about the old school videogame 'Donkey Kong' and who can get the highest score, sounds like a simple movie right? well it has more to it them most people may think, it has funny stuff, drama, sad stuff - it will touch some part of you in some way - The two guys Steve Wiebe and Billy Mitchell are the main focus of this film.
Steve seems like a nice guy who has had a bad run of luck in his life and Billy is just a plain jerk - ya' know the type of person in a horror film who makes you say "I can't wait until this dude gets it.
" that is Billy Mitchell. The film is loaded with extreme nerds who worship Billy for whatever reason. Just watch the film and you'll see what I mean - It is a touching film and I enjoyed it alot.
..now go get your quarters and start jumping barrels and if you pass a million on your score maybe you can be in the sequel.
