Review of The King of Comedy (1982) by Jessica H — 13 Feb 2008
You know, it really doesn't bother me that deniro plays the character in every scorsese movie because he's so fucking good at it. as always, scorsese is amazing at creating an atmosphere of paranoia.
the poorer visual quality associated with television at the time is used expertly in this film for scenes from the jerry langford show. and, of course, jerry lewis is wonderful.
