Review of The King of Comedy (1982) by Rob H — 01 Apr 2008

Really incredibly underrated. It's a lot like Taxi Driver in places, except less, you know, incredibly violent. Robert De Niro plays the same type of role, except this time he makes you feel more awkward and uncomfortable.

It's just so fascinating to watch him get the character into the situations that happen in the film. Jerry Lewis is fantastic as well. I'm not too sure why this film isn't mentioned within Scorcese's greats.

I sure think it is.
