Review of The King of Comedy (1982) by Sam S — 25 Aug 2008
One of those films which gets over shadowed by the rest of Scorsese's work. This film is not a laugh out loud movie (although it has its moments), definatively it is a satirical black comedy with elements of cringe which would even make David Brent bite down on two knuckles.
Oh and I also spotted Joe Strummer and other members of the clash as extras, but I digress. A movie well worth watching if you appreciate the genius that is the Scorsese and De Niro partnership.
