As I stated in my review of 'After Hours,' if Scorsese made more of this kind of movie then I would appreciate his catalog a lot more. Ranks right up with 'Taxi Driver' as his best with DeNiro brilliantly playing an equally unbalanced character, probably even moreso than Travis Bickle.
