Review of The King of Comedy (1982) by Tristan D — 15 Oct 2009
Despite Rupert (Robert De Niro)'s sad and pathetically obsessive nature, you can't help but feel for him, even as he kidnaps our good friend Jerry Lewis in an attempt to reign as the king of late night television.
Some of De Niro's best and most original work, often sad but always with a darkly comic flare! Well done, Scorsese.
