Review of The King of Comedy (1982) by Bradley T — 17 Apr 2011
As soon as Scorsese ventures away from crooks or mobs or mafia or raging bulls, I don't tend to like the picture. I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed this picture. More or less there was a line to cross and that line was surpassed quite a distance which only had me locked in.
Not a performance I would have expected from De Niro, which makes it oh, so much greater.
