Review of The King of Comedy (1982) by Gautam K — 08 Jul 2011
Brilliant movie. It shows how important the 'acting' in a movie really is. It is an ordinary and catchy script made into a movie that you just get attached to from minute one thanks to the brilliant portrayal of the character Rupert Pupkin by Robert De Niro.
Rupert Pupkin is somebody who you really sympatize with and feel for. And in the end, 'Better being a King for a night than schmuck for a lifetime'!
