As a historian, I thought this was a really great movie. The plot was not complicated, the acting was mediocre, but the historical accuracy blew me away. This movie had everything - sexy, evil Thai queen? yes.
flying Japanese ninjas? yes. romantic Iberian Don Juan? yes. Not to mention the slow motion river battle, the battle elephants... So go see it! It's a great mix of cultures.
