Review of The King and I (1956) by Noel K — 05 Jul 2011
Beautiful restoration of a beautiful movie. Yul Brynner cannot sing, but he certainly can act. Obviously, plenty of the film's elements are dated. It's especially amusing (and sad) to see so many tanned white people playing Asians.
But if you like musicals (or really, even if you don't), this is a piece of movie history worth seeing.
