Review of The Killing of John Lennon (2007) by Cara : — 22 Jan 2008
Intermittently interesting dramatization of Mark David Chapman's plot and execution of the murder of John Lennon. Examines Chapman's mindset in a film school-y, almost self-conscious manner, relying on gimmicks and hit-and-miss evocations of insanity.
But it's obviously the work of a filmmaker coming into his own, and Andrew Piddington is one to watch in time.
