Review of The Killing of John Lennon (2007) by Raynormanbateman . — 17 Jul 2010
I can see why some people are sensitive about this movie being made. It's understandable when David Chapman killed John Lennon for the fame that the last thing you'd expect is exactly what he wanted and why he did it. However that man obviously had issues and it was more than becoming famous. The actor portraying him does an exceptional job although the real David chapman was slightly bigger in person it seems. The director does a great job with making the movie like chapters leading to what we all expected and knew would happen.
I never was a beetles fan or care much for celebs so this movie doesn't bother me even if it's pretty much giving David Chapman exactly what he wanted but let's not forget that he has been in Jail for over 20 year now and that last thing on his mind is this movie or any other. If you're not sensitive and don't take things personal than this is a good film about that day.
