Review of Son of Rambow (2007) by Raynormanbateman . — 08 Feb 2011
A fun film with some great touches. A real retro feel for any British 30-somethings. Whilst not a masterpiece, there's enough merit here for a thoroughly engaging film. The two lead actors play the unlikely friends very well and are supported by a good cast.
The boys re-enacting scenes from First Blood and their own imaginations are a joy to behold. Once again religion plays the villain, and in this loveless and manipulative incarnation, rightfully so. A feel good film worth watching whether you love Rambo films or not.
