Review of The Killing Fields (1984) by Tony F — 21 Oct 2007
Haunting, memorable - an incredible true story of courage in the face of such brutality. It inspired me to learn more and visit the killing fields near Pnomh Penh. Visiting the place just reaffirms the shocking reality of what is depicted in the film.
The Khmer Rouge and Pol Pot took the establishemtn of a communist ideal and the education / elimination of the intelligensia to it's horrific extreme. How could the world watch it happen and do nothing? A film to watch and learn from.
Excellent.
