Review of The Killing Fields (1984) by Warren S — 28 Feb 2008

I saw this when it first came out and found it riveting and powerful. I was amazed at this man's true story. The actor (Ngor) won an Oscar and he was actually playing a role similar to his own experiences.

My favorite scene was at the end when Waterston learns his friend is alive and finds him at a Red Cross unit and they reunite. Very emotional. Too bad they were playing John Lennon's "Imagine".

.. that didn't work for me. The R is probably for violence.
