Frequently powerful, but soooo flawed.
The narrative is frequently dragged away from Pran's incredible story so we can see what the western character are up too, which is generally nothing much.
Music is the biggest issue. It's a complete mess. There are synth tracks, classical arrangements, a Kurosawa style marching theme at one point, opera, pop music.... it's completely random in a very bad way. The lowest point is the conclusion when Imagine kicks in. A nauseating song at the best of times and here it just seems cheap.
