Review of The Killing Fields (1984) by Jeff Y — 11 Jul 2008
Starts off slow, but turns into a touching fact-based drama. It succeeds in bringing to light the horrors of Cambodia that were largely ignored by outsiders. The bond between the American reporter Sidney Schanberg and his Cambodian assistant Dith Pran was extremely powerful.
Solid acting and clean cinematography. Sometimes the pace drags down, but otherwise perfectly executed.
