Review of The Killing Fields (1984) by Alex S — 08 Feb 2009
Finally got to see this one and it's no doubt a powerful film. Very scary and very touching. Mostly the story of friendship between two men, one American (who escapes Cambodia) and one Cambodian (who has to somehow survive the twisted world of Pol Pot's utopian paradise in order to escape).
Must see. A holocaust that should never be forgotten. But it has a "happy" ending, so I maintain it is not as depressing as I feared.
