Review of The Killing Fields (1984) by Nathan C — 19 Jan 2012
A great film and so realistic to. The best aspect is the stunning cinematography and the first shot of the boy on the buffalo (wearing a US army hat), sets the standard. Also a rather wonderful score by Mike Oldfield.
Amazing, true story of what would have been the worst genocide in human history but thankfully stopped in time (but not soon enough). Still the human cost and suffering was horrific. The film reflects these sentiments and feelings.
Interesting early performance by John Malkovich.
